Joe founded AccessRN, Inc. in 1998. He has more than 30 years of experience in both vascular access and the long term care setting. Joe currently serves as a board member for the American Red Cross and serves on many AVA committees (education, public policy). He is a member of the Infusion Nurses Society and CRNI. A former paramedic, firefighter, ER Nurse, hospital administrator, and AVA Foundation board member, Joe is one of the country’s most experienced PICC nurses.
In Joe’s spare time he enjoys using his pilot skills and flying.
Carol McElfresh
Director Operations & HR
As Director of Operations & HR for AccessRN, Carol’s responsibilities include non-clinical operations and human resources. Carol holds a BA from the University of Toledo and has experience in Human Resources; Organizational Development; Business Operations and Team Management. In addition, Carol has over 30 years of experience in Finance, Budgeting, Internal Controls, Investment Oversight, Cash Management, Employee Benefits, Liability Insurance, Capital Planning and Construction, Information Technology, Purchasing and Contracts.
Carol has been the recipient of numerous State & National Awards that include the Ohio Auditor of State’s “Making Your Tax Dollars Count” Award; the Government Finance Officers Excellence in Financial Reporting 7 consecutive years as well as the Ohio School Boards Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting 7 consecutive years.
Carol has volunteered for several local charities that include the United Way Income CST and Workforce Development Committees, Executive Director for the BeInstrumental Foundation, Board Member for Polly Fox Charter School, Accountant for the Re-entry Coalition of Northwest Ohio and is currently serving a 3-year term as the Lucas County Commissioners appointee to the Pathway Board.
Carol is married and has 4 children and 6 grandchildren. Besides a love of music, Carol enjoys anything Disney, boxing/mma promotion, genealogy and golf.
